Stella Maris Hvar

 
Choir Stella Maris Hvar is part of the performance and music group of the same name that has been active in the town of Hvar for twenty years. The repertoire of the choir is rich and varied: film music, pop rock, popular music, classical music, negro spiritual music, Croatian and Dalmatian traditional music, folklore music from other countries, original pieces etc.

Currently, the choir has 23 members that have been performing together for almost two years.

The choir has so far performed at many international competitions and concerts, but they mostly perform on the island of Hvar.

The repertoire of their concerts in Hvar Cathedral consists of classical and baroque choral music, several compositions of later periods, as well as Maestro Vinka Šurlin’s original pieces.

The choir has so far released two albums and their activity contributes to enriching cultural offer of the island of Hvar.
